Hi, I'm Yasin. I build software that stays easy to change.

I'm a web engineer and engineering manager in Berlin. As a freelancer, I help startups and established teams turn product ideas into web apps, cross-platform mobile apps and the Node.js backends behind them.

I started building for the web in 2013 and have worked in product teams ever since, from automotive tooling and e-commerce to banking. Along the way I learned that the hardest part of software is rarely the code. It is making the right decisions early, keeping things simple and leaving a codebase the next developer is happy to open.

Next to my role as Engineering Manager, I take on a small number of freelance projects at a time, so each client gets my full attention from the first sketch to the final release.

01 / Values

What you can expect from me

Clarity over cleverness

I write plain code, use plain language and make every trade-off visible. You always know why a decision was made.

Ship small, ship often

You get a working preview every week. Early feedback is always cheaper than late surprises.

Own the outcome

I care whether the product works for your users, not just whether the ticket is closed.

Built to hand over

I leave behind documentation, tests and a clean structure, so your team can take over without calling me.

02 / Skills

Grouped by where they show up

Frontend

I build interfaces that load fast, look sharp and work for everyone.

03 / Experience

A short timeline

  1. 2018 to today

    Current

    Freelance Web Developer

    Self-employed

Alongside my permanent roles, I have been helping clients of every size design and build scalable, high-quality digital products since 2018. Depending on the goal, that means a modern website on a headless CMS or a fully custom web application. I choose the frameworks and tools that fit each project best rather than the ones that happen to be trending, and I stay involved from the first conversation to the launch and beyond.

    Engineering Manager

    DKB Code Factory GmbH

I lead a team of four developers responsible for building and running the public website of DKB AG. We own the entire stack from frontend to backend, built with Nuxt.js and Vue.js and rendered on the server for speed, scalability and strong search visibility. My focus is on empowering engineers, streamlining processes and aligning technical decisions with business goals. Working closely with product and design, we have improved performance, reliability and user engagement in a measurable way.

    Frontend and Mobile App Developer

    EAT-TAXI · with devsuit

Together with the Berlin agency devsuit, I worked on the frontend and mobile app of EAT-TAXI, a regional food delivery platform where restaurants deliver their orders themselves. A single Nuxt.js and Capacitor codebase serves customers on iOS, Android and the web, from the address check and menu selection to checkout and live order tracking. The platform went live with 25 connected restaurants.

    CampNerd

CampNerd was founded by the German camping industry association BVCD and builds digital tools for campsite operators. I helped develop a wide range of features for CHANGER, its channel manager that keeps availability in sync across booking platforms in real time. I also set up pipelines and development processes, and migrated and maintained legacy code on the Django backend.
