Frequently asked questions
Why Node.js for the backend?
With Node.js and TypeScript, frontend and backend speak the same language. That reduces friction in the team, makes shared types easy and is very capable for most web and app backends.
Do you also work with existing backends?
Yes. Among other things, I have migrated and maintained legacy code in a Django backend, and I connect frontends to existing PHP, Python or Java systems.
Where will the backend run?
We decide that together: with a cloud provider, on EU servers for GDPR-sensitive data, or as part of my managed hosting.
